The problem with Google Maps/Earth is that the imagery is at least 3 or 4 years old for most of Wellington. And the weird thing is that I know for a fact it used to be a lot newer. We lived in a house in Brookly a few years ago and I remember looking at the house in Google Earth and being able to see the outdoor heaters that our neighbour had on his new deck. Then one day the imagery changed to MUCH older photos. This house and the house to the right should both have large decks out the back. The deck at number 35 was built in 2004.

I'd love it if Zoomin had updated aerial footage!

Unfortunately we used to have low resolution aerial photography from LINZ. We lost it when we switch across to NZTM co-ordinates system. We can source uber hi-res imagery from Terralink at 10cm per pixel (Google Earth is about 90cm per pixel). Let us know if you want it.

Hi John,

I read somewhere that you guys had aerial photography of Wellington (like Google Maps) but I can't find anything about it on ZoomIn. Is this a feature you have ready?

Cheers - Stuart.
